The Satsuma (Citrus reticulata) is the most significant mandarin variety in Japan, one of the most cold-tolerant varieties withstanding temperatures below 15F. The Owari Satsuma Mandarin tree is easy to grow and low maintenance. It is pest and disease resistant and drought tolerant. The fruits are seedless and very easy to peel.
