The Cara Cara Orange (Citrus sinensis), also known as Pink Navel, Red Navel and having a few other names, was discovered as a natural mutation of a Washington Navel orange in Venezuela in the late 20th century. The fruits are highly favored for their unique flesh coloring, low acidity and berry-like flavor.
 
Taste: The flesh is soft, tender, aromatic, very sweet with low acidity, creating a complex, sweet-and-tangy flavor with floral and fruity nuances of rose, raspberry, cranberry, and blackberry.
