Lychees, botanically classified as Litchi chinensis, are tropical fruits, originally from Southern China and Southeast Asia. They are also known as Alligator Strawberry for their red, scaly skin. The Brewster Lychee is widely commercially cultivated variety in Florida. The fruits are large, deep red, and highly favored for their excellent taste.

 

Taste: The succulent, juicy white flesh has a unique floral taste, the sweetness of a grape, and the slight tartness of a kiwi fruit.
