Dimocarpus longan, commonly known as the longan and dragon's eye, is a tropical fruit tree.  The Kohala is a Hawaiian variety and the primary commercial and home-garden cultivar in Florida. It offers consistent production and large fruit of sweet flavor and good quality. 
 
Taste: The flesh is translucent, juicy and sweet with subtly tart, floral and musky flavor.
